Let’s Eat More Plants!
Simple, delicious recipes and smart ideas to help you eat more plants, your way.

No guilt. No rules. Just real food that fits your life.

Happy Summer!

July at the Farmers Market

Berries and cherries are out in full force! I’ve made several batches of freezer jam so I can enjoy fresh fruit all year long.

You’ll also find plenty of summer produce: garlic scapes, summer squash, sugar snap peas, radishes, salad greens, and fresh herbs.

Think summer salads, bowls, and pastas with all of that produce. So many ways to make the most of what’s in season!

New Month, New Cravings, Let’s Get Into It!

Cooking in July is all about celebrating summer’s freshest flavors, whether you’re making a simple tomato pasta for an easy weeknight dinner, putting up a quick freezer jam with extra fruit, or bringing a pasta salad to a cookout.

I love eating outside when the weather isn’t too hot and sharing these seasonal dishes with friends and family.

Here are a few of my favorite July recipes to inspire you!

Recipe: Baked Goat Cheese Pasta with Cherry Tomatoes

Tomato season has arrived! Whip up this easy weeknight meal in an hour.

Recipe: Any Fruit Freezer Jam

Berries, Cherries, oh my! Use any extra fruit you have on hand! No pectin or canning required.

Recipe: Creamy Dill Pickle Tuna Pasta Salad

Just in time for those summer cookouts! Easy, delicious, high protein!

Smart Seasonal Tip for July

Make the Most of Market Veggies With This Simple Trick:
Freeze Summer Fruit!

Whether you picked up extra fruit or grew it yourself, freezing it is a great way to prevent food waste and enjoy peak flavor all year long.

From raspberries to cherries to peaches, freeze them in a single layer so they’re easy to grab for smoothies, mocktails, or desserts later.

Tip #1 : Use frozen fruit as ice cubes in your favorite cocktail or mocktail for a fun twist! I love frozen cherries in a whiskey sour!

Tip #2: No need to freeze blueberries in a single layer like cut fruit. Just wash, dry, and toss them straight into a bag. They won’t stick together!
